I installed the new 2002 leather seats and used a power cord in the cigarette lighter for a quick setup on the driver power seat until tomorrow. I'm going to run a fused power wire from the battery to the seat. Is it OK to ground the power seat connector on the track, or will it cause a ground loop? Thanks.

do not use the cig lighter for this. Not an acceptable power source, not even for a day. I think you should be fine grounding to the rail. ground loops only really matter when it comes to things like radios
