Alright, I've been on this forum since the spring of 2006. I bought my 2004 Explorer XLT Sport and then posted a few questions. Fast forward to about two weeks ago, and I suddenly get the bug, really bad. I was always interested in mods and everything, but it just seemed like other things in my life were distracting me. Next thing you know I'm on here, night and day, reading the millions of threads and posts. So, a little bit about me.
My name's Nick. I live just outside a little town in southeastern PA called Royersford, about 45 minutes WNW of Philly (depending on traffic of course). When I first joined this forum I had just gotten back from a stint in Iraq as a contract firefighter. A few months later I got off my a$$ and got another job, this time as and EMT with a private ambulance company. I'm still there, ugh, but I'm in the process of applying to the local state prison.
I'm a member of two fire companies, one near my house and the other in a neighboring county where I went to school. I'm also a member of Greater Philadelphia Search and Rescue, and I guess I'm pretty much the unofficial head of the medical unit.
Right now my X is pretty much stock. Up front I have the middle part of a Manik brushguard (ie, just the grille guard, no headlight guards), but that's about it. I do, however, plan on changing A LOT, as finances allow, of course.
I look forward to interacting with everyone here and learning as much as I can. It's amazing how much I've learned already. And, of course, once I get my X a little more off-road worthy, I plan on finding a club in this area and having some fun!
