When I bought my Explorer Limited 2017 3,5 it was hit in the back. I repaired it in July. And this sensor with two antennas (all this thing is placed under the rear bumper) was cracked (there is a photo). After a carwash my trunk hands free opening function stopped working. I bought and installed new hands free liftgate sensor (sometimes it is called “module”) with antennas. But no miracle happened. It still does not react on my foot. Is there any fuse for this device or maybe I have to program something in Forscan for car to be able to recognize new device?

I am sure it will need to be programed, and since the old one is "DOA" you may need to have it "Programed as Build" A Ford dealer can do that, or a shop that has access to the Ford Factory info, I know GM makes that available for a fee to shops. Also going to need a bidirectional scan tool that can do programing.

There is fuse #69 in the engine bay fuse panel for the power liftgate and fuse #10 in the cabin fuse box. If fuse #10 is bad then your Securicode keyless access panel also would not be working.

The whole thing was in 1 wire. It wan cracked and hidden under isolation. I repaired it and now everything is fine.
