Harbor freight white driving lights....good or bad ?

I was asking about if the are bright or not going to make a homemade roof rack light bar for my 03 sport trac and just wonder how many I should install I was going to do 6 or 5 ?

I've posted on this before and got mostly negative opinions on them so I passed on them. I think I'm finally going to pull the trigger on a set of procomp lights.

I have the amber/ yellow foglights from Harbor Freight on my winch bumper, their bright as all hell. Not sure about the white driving lights they sell.

This is the setup I had on my Yakima MegaWarrior back when I had it on my '03 ST. I bought these no-name offroad lights from the local swap meet and they were seriously bright for $5 a piece.

Honestly, if the lights are bright enough then you don't need more then 4 tops, aim them spread out for more light dispersal.

I'd pass on the harbor freight. While they're a little more expensive, KC Lights have a 24 year guarantee - ANYTHING breaks, just send it in for replacement. I bought a used set off craiglist for about 50 bucks - the mounting bolts were stripped. Sent them in, and had them replaced free of charge - so I got brand new $115 dollar KC Daylighters, for 50 bucks plus shipping for the replacements.
