I'm wondering if the lowest priced mig welder from harbor frieght is worth purchessing? the reason i'm asking is that i am on a very tight budget, and i do mean very tight. basicly it would be a purchess then i would have to wait till next month for more parts. thanks steve

What do you want to do with it?

I'm looking to do some body welding radiator support rocker panels and some rear quaterpanel repair

that should be fine, i have a 110v mighty mig 101 welder, not sure on the amperage, and it does great with sheet metal and steel stock up to 1/8" thick. I would reccomend shopping around for one with gas, as ive never been able to get a clean looking weld with flux core wire

That is true, you cannot get a good quality weld with flux core wire on sheet metal. Save your money and buy a wire feed welder that you can use Co2 for a shielding gas. You will be much more satisfied with the results. The weld will be so much smoother, there will be less grinding, sometimes none at all, and the weld strength will be better, less porosity and gaps. That has been my experience. I had a Lincoln and a Craftsman, both 110v. The Lincoln was far and away the better welder. If I remember correctly, it was 140 amps, but I never needed anything higher that setting 2.
