It normally starts fine, but occasionally it is hard to get turned over. Seems to come and go. Any ideas? 4L OHV

A month ago I had the same symptoms on 4.0L SOHC. Once the IAC was cleaned it never had trouble starting.

You're probably right about the IAC. If I can get it off I'll clean it. I've tried to take it off a few times but the screws won't budge. I think I may have stripped the head of one of them.

Crap, that's bad news. Maybe get an EZ-out kit or other screw removal tool to help ya. Maybe it will be easier with extra leverage (ratchet) and while vehicle is warmer. I know from the past breaking the ends of and having to drill and re-tap the threads can be a pain.
