My '02 XLS has developed a problem starting. Sometimes it does not want to start, it will crank over fine but not fire. I have to gas peddle to get the engine to start. It has been doing this for several weeks now. I've even gotten into the habit of pausing after I turn the key on to give the fuel pump a chance to prime the lines, if the fuel pump is starting to get week. It still has an intermitent problem starting. ALSO, it recently started to want to stall when I shift into reverse, the engine dies and the surges to an higher (higher than idle) RPM, then everything is fine. Does anybody have similar issues?
