As most of you know when in 4wd and turning the car at a hard angle it wants to hesitate and not going so you have to give it some gas. It seems though as time has passed that turning at the same angle is become harder for the ex. to handle and is becoming louder. Is this a CV problem or what? is it as easy as just greasing something up or am I looking at replacing sometihng else on the vehicle?

Are you in 4WD on dry road or off road?
You shouldn't use 4WD on dry roadway, turning on dry road binds up the driveline.

on pavement or on dirt two tracks it happens with the switch set to 4wd I am thinking it might be the cv's

If you're experiencing driveline bind-up like that, you should not be in 4high in the first place. That's a sure-fire way to break stuff like CVjoints, u-joints, etc. You should not be in 4high in those conditions plain and simple. There's nothing wrong with the truck.

My ex's auto 4wd function was acting up. Turning the trucks front wheels on when they shouldn't be. And when i turn it would make noise and bind. it was a loud ere noise, and i couldn't do anything about it because the computer was turning the the front wheels on. i would just have to keep driving until the computer would realize and send off the 4x4 warning lights, then it would stop. I don't think anythings wrong with your ex, because when i use 4wd in the snow i can turn just fine with no loud binds. Today I just finished up the brown wire mod. so no more hard turns on the dry pavement! HELL YEA! I have 98 sport too
