has anyone else had this problem

hey yall this is my first post and i hope it wont be the last for a long time. i have a 2000 ex v8 xlt. well the question is is that i got a grille guard from a friend that came off a 1996 explorer sport v6 that was rolled and i was wandering if i had to cut into the bumber so i could put the backets on the frame or is that a problem i have all the tools to make some brackets and all because i work at a shop and i have a shop in the backyard with all the equiptment so if yall can answer my question it would be great or if someone has any diagrams of a bracket or has any laying around it would be help full.

the 96s had a smaller metal bumper that the 2000 XLTs didnt have so you will have to do alittle trimming if i am correct pretty sure i am though. you could always just get a 96 bumper from the Junk yard and fix the problem
