I'm thinking about puttin them on my 94' but i don't know how hard it'll be. I'm sure it won't be easy, but just how much of a pain is it. I've never put headers on a car while the engine was still in the car, it just looks like a pain. I put headers on my camaro, but that was while i had the motor out, so obviously that was no big deal. Does anyone have any experience or any tricks with this that they would like to share? Thanks!

It is a royal pain in the a$$. To make it easier, you will need to remove both inner fender wells, the starter, the air intake assembly, and move a few wire harnesses. Make sure to soak all bolts and nuts repeatedly for several days (or weeks) before the install. Also, it would be a good idea to keep a set of heavy duty impact sockets on hand. I broke 3 12mm sockets (a Snap-on, and 2 Craftsman) before using the impact sockets. Also, when you round of the head(s) on the manifold bolts, try using the next size smaller SAE socket and driving it on with a hammer to remove them the rest of the way. You should also have a good power saw with several blades (broke 6) to cut off the factory Y-pipe. And try not to do it in a gravel driveway (I had bruises for a week) Dead Link Removed. The gain is VERY noticable, though. It is by far the biggest improvement of all the bolt-ons, and I've tried almost all of them now. The gains in mpg and hp are well worth it if you don't mind the frustration, just don't keep a hammer to close to hand or you may end up with some serious damage to your truck Dead Link Removed.
