Has anyone installed Zerks in their balljoints?

Hi all. My 00 Sport has about 67K miles on it now, and the ball joints are still tight. I'm considering installing some zerk fittings to allow me to grease them, as general maintenance.

Has anyone here done this, and is it a good idea?

I would think it would be mighty hard to drill & tap the ball joint housings without either messing up the ball or getting metal shavings into them. 67k is pretty good for a set of balljoints...they lasted 24k on my '01 the first time and about 17k the second time. First time they were replaced with stock balljoints under warranty and the second time I put greasables in.
