My turn signal switch isn't staying on when I try to turn on my left signal, so I bought the OEM replacement part and plan to install today.

It seems like it would be a very straight forward 10 minute job: a couple of screws holding on the steering column trim; a couple of screws holding on the turn signal switch, and then the electrical connector. I've previously had the steering column apart to install a remote start.

Will I find any other surprises?

Thanks.

I think its a pretty straight forward job. The only surprise might be security torx head screws holding the switch in but I dont think so. I have seen that before on some vehicles. You can get security torx bits at most auto parts stores if they are in there.

Yeah, it was pretty easy. Two screws to remove the lower dashboard panel, three screws to remove the steering column trim, and two regular torx screws to remove the assembly.

Please remember to disconnect the battery. You don't want the air bag to pop you. Place the air bag on the bench so that if it does ignites the bag will be facing up and the unit wont' go through your roof. Replace the bolt or nut that holds the steering wheel on. Torque to spec..
