I figured this would fit in this section, I was wondering if anyone has installed a snow plow on an Explorer. I saw an older model that had one, and I found a company that sells them. We are buying a horse farm with 13 acres and it has lots of roads that will need plowing when it snows, so I was thinking about either a tractor with a blower on it, around $3000 which would give me 3 of them, since I already have 2, but they are too small for something like this, or a plow blade on my Explorer around $2500.
Since I am not going to be plowing parking lots ar anything like that, and it will be all flat road, the wear and tear will be minimal on the frame, but since it is an AWD, I am not sure what the drivetrain can handle.
