hatch light switch??

hy gang. new here but i got a ? about where the switch is for the interior lights when the back hatch or window is open ?? i camp in my truck a lot and would like to defunct the lights, but keep the back hatch unlocked..or open..fuse 27 works but also kills the power windows.. getting tired of being locked in..? help..the mist 97 xlt

The shutoff to the back window is down inside the lift where the window latches. It's not something that could be used to easily shut the light off..

Would it be possible to find a light that has a shutoff on it?

on both the glass and hatch latches, click them to the fingers are closed, like they would be when they are shut on the striker. just remember to open them back up before you close them (to open them, do the same thing like you where getting in).
