Everytime I go and start my truck up i have to let it sit for a couple of min because if i dont it will stall out on me when i put it in drive.. Now if i drive if for a while and start it back up it doesnt do it.. only when it has been sitting for sometime.. I dont think that its becuase the engine is cold becuase its 90 degrees here and it just started to do this not long ago.. any ideal??

actually, it could be as simple as a bad alternator or battery, but i'd let the thread sit until a professional comes through... have you tried calling a Ford tech or even one of hte idiots behind the auto parts retail store desks, they could know

Pull the codes. Even if the CEL isn't on, it could still throw a code. Sounds like it could be the Throttle position sensor. If so, it will throw a code. Most autozones will pull the codes for free.

My first guess is it is running lean when it is cold. Like marragtop said pull the codes for some ideas of things to check for like a vacuum leak.

A lot of times, a hard cold start could be the result of a bad air charge temperature sensor (ACTS), and engine coolant temperature sensor (ECTS). To troubleshoot the ECT sensor, refer to the following chart:
Dead Link Removed
I would recommend removing the ACT sensor, and cleaning it, since they usually get an oil build up on the sensing element.
