having problem with vacuum modulator

My 93 explorer limited has trans problems. I want to remove the vacuum modulator but can`t move the shield away so I can get at it. I am trying to rebuild the explorer for highway use. its a 2 wheel drive.
Any help will be apreciated very much

Try to get to it from either the access panel under the floor or from underneath by removing the catalytic converter. It's a good idea to replace the 2 servos while you are working in the same area.
