I anm having problems finding an 04 haynes repair manual. I can find lots of 02-03 but no 04. Are they the same? Can anyone point me in the direction of an 04? Thanks

not out yet 2002-3 only one out there

no wonder, thanks, maybe a chilton is out?

In the past I have bought both the Haynes, and Factory Service Manual (FSM). For about an extra $120 the FSM Blows the Haynes away. Not only do you get much better detail it also has better diagrams. Most importantly you get the wiring schematics. On the page count, the FSM is over 1500-2000 pages, while the Haynes is a little lighter at 500 pages. The Haynes is more generic while the FSM is specfic to that model year. Well worth the cost.

where can I get one? I saw Ebay has something similiar on DVD-Rom but I dont know if its worth it or not?

Helm Inc does the factory manuals. Its the 2004 Explorer and Mountaineer Workshop Manual $145, and 2004 Explorer and Mountaineer Wiring Diagram is $60 got them both in PAPER. The books are huge.

unfortunatly I am not sure how to download a torrent

I would get one but my computer does not have a DVD player on it yet, I am still in the dark ages. Hopefully will have a new computer by christmas and it will have a DVD player on it for sure

Which torrent client did you use? Did you use Easy CD Creator, or Nero to burn the DVD?

I used either Azureus (win box) or Deluge (linux box)... don't remember which. I used Daemon tools to mount the image and tried it that way. I also burnt it with Nero and then with Alcohol 120%.

The program installs, but I don't think the .ISO image has the correct volume information.

In would suggest that you open it with Easy CD Creator. Some ISO images work better with that, some will only work with Nero.

You couldn't pay me to put that junk on my computer! an .ISO is an .ISO, period.
If an .ISO will only work with nero, then its NOT an .ISO.

Have you actually burnt/installed/used the DVD's yourself?

Whats even stranger is you never see one of those repair manuals for luxury cars, unless they ar 10 years old of more. Ever seen a repair manual for a newer Mercades or a BMW? I guess they just thing those people just take them to the dealer.:( I say this becuase I can't find one for the Volvo:( I had to chage the bulbs in the puddle lamps and could not find out how to get to them. Thank god for the internet though:thumbsup: :D
