I straight piped mine with 3" aluminum piping with a Flowmaster 44. I get compliments on the sound/pitch all the time..."that's a 4.0L V-6?!!" is often how it goes. I actually got better mileage and could feel it (a little) in the pedal on my 92 X. There is a lot of ways you can go...I'm not sure what's best for the newer X's, I'm not even sure you can do what I did because of it being newer. But like these guys said, the key is to find a good custom shop that knows what their doing...Good Luck!
