I live in the bay area and go to college 120 miles away, my 93 xlt for the past week has shown that the water temp gauge as geting hot, but she never overheated and never was hot hot. i made it up two 1000 foot grades without a problem, i was about 10 miles away from geting to college and it was 34 degrees outside, i was making it up this little hill and i heard something funny. i pulled over and there was all the coolent on the ground and and bubbling out of the recovery. so i released the presure of the rad cap and the block wasnt hot at all, nethire was the coolant. so i let her cool down or whatever and tried again. samething happened. i got towed home and then started puting coolant in. it seemed like the engine was pushing the coolant out of the rad cap. so that made me beleave it was not a thermostat but a head gasket. i then went and checked the oil for and "milk shake" in the oil. nothing. so good for that. now my car is in a shop out for a week. this car has been in my family for 13 years. i love this car, and it sucks that this happened, she has 180,000 miles and never had a problem with the engine. this sucks!
