I an new here and I am not sure if this is the correct area to post this.

I have an 94 XLT Explorer and when I open the door with the headlights, there is no chime, at times I forget that they are on. Never killed the battery yet though. Also, when I open my doors the interior lights don't come on. Is there any possible way to enable this?

It almost sounds like the "switch" is bad that lets the truck know that the door is open.

When any of the other doors are open, do the interior lights come on? If so the door switch on the drivers side is most likely bad, although there could be a fault in the wiring, or it also may have come disconnected.

The strange thing is when I have my internal lights on, I will open my door and it will chime. Could it be a different switch for the headlights?

When opening any door, the lights dont come on at all.

Hello,

I'm having same issue
1. Door open keys out of egnition headlights on no chime and interior lights off
2. Door open keys out of egnition headlights on along with interslights (usinging . the inter light switch) Chime is a buzzen.
when I turn off inter light leaving headlights on ineror lights go off and stops buzzing. Note door is always open so the ineror lights should be on and chime a buzzen because the headlights are on.
1. I check the switches in all doors they work.
The odd thing don't know if related a dime got stuck in the cigarette lighter and shorted something out the fuse did not blow but I smalled something burning.
And don't bust on my spelling I'm lucky I can even read. There's mental issues.

The fuses have been check and the switch that turns on the headlights changed. I went the the junk yard and just started changing what I could get my hands on the relays the chim box I don't remember. I looked at some scomatices but I could not understand them kinda but not a nuff to find the problem.

If the victim is still not breathing normally, coughing or moving, begin chest compressions. Push down in the center of the chest 2 inches 30 times. Pump hard and fast at the rate of at least 100/minute, faster than once per second.

Tilt the head back and lift the chin. Pinch nose and cover the mouth with yours and blow until you see the chest rise. Give 2 breaths. Each breath should take 1 second.

CONTINUE WITH 30 PUMPS AND 2 BREATHS UNTIL HELP ARRIVES

this thread needs to be brought back to life.
