head lights

I have been having an issue with my headlights for athe past 2 nights. After i turn the truck off the parking lights come on and won't turn off. I have to start the car turn the lights off turn the dimmer down and then they will stay off. NOt sure if what im doing is helping keep them off but it has worked for the past 2 nights. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Welcome to this forum! Do you have daytime running lights?

I do have day time running lights yes, and i would just turn the truck on and off and they would turn off, but tonight my headlights were on like i had them turned on but they weren't. The only thing i could do is take the battery post off to turn them off any ideas?
