head scratcher

got a 2003 explorer with possibly a 2006 4.6L in it. i have been having a problem with cylinder 5 misfire and a crankshaft/camshaft sensor range performance. any ideas on what could be the possible cause?

the problem has been going on for 3 or 4 weeks. i just got my girlfriend to let me work on it when it finally broke down. she as only owned the car for 1 year

thanks for your help but it didn't really help. done all the checks that i know still a few but don't have a book to refereance some spec. like how much fuel pressure the line should have. and what could be causing the high fuel pressure

Welcome to this forum! Does it have a check engine light or a flashing O/D light? If so, then find out what the code numbers are.
