Own a 2dr. 97 Explorer 4.0L SOHC V6. Few months ago put in a Borla catback system.
Now want to put in some headers for my truck.
I called Borla and Vanir and told me they don't make any headers for my truck. A Borla rep. did say they will eventual make them. The guy at Vanir stated since not much of a big demand for high performance prod. for the SOHC V6, they had no plans to support it.

So do you guys know anywhere I can some some headers without having to modify my truck?

Have any of you tried installing some headers made for the 4.0L V6 OHV engine. Like to install some Borla one's.

Wondering if the two engines can be interchanged with each others parts?

Thanks in Advance

the 2 engines parts, most all of them are not interchangeable. Maybe some bottom end components, but the top end (ie heads, intake, phlenum, exhaust manifolds, airfilter) will not be interchangeable with the OHV engines. Pop the hood and you will find a lot of room on the OHV engines, not a lot in the SOHC. That is because of the overhead cam on top of the valve train.

For headers, I have not seen any. You might also want to try MAC products and JBA. See if they have anything in the works.
