nope. but, you can get the fordmotorsport ones for the regular GT-40 heads and weld on a EGR tube so they will work on the GT-40p heads. do a search on 5.0 headers, there was some guy that swapped a GT-40p motor in a ranger and adapted GT-40 headers. said it was real easy.
im running theys heads on a 289 with stock header but its in a drag ranger turning mid 13s im building a 79 stang for a street strip. i just need headers that fit
well, ive never researched it cuz ive got the GT-40's, not the P's, but someone HAS to make headers for these heads. pick up a 5.0 MUSTANG & SUPER FORDS magazine. there are several ads in there from places that sell GT-40p heads in stock and modified form. if there is more than one place that sells them then there must be a way to get some headers...
I have the Ford Racing Performance Parts headers on my Explorer V8 engine (in my 1999 Ranger). They fit perfectly, as they were made for the explorer V8. The only thing necessary was to add the EGR fitting.
These are the ONLY headers for the Explorer V8. I have called everyone and no one has them or plans to make them! As you said, with as many Explorer V8's, you would think someone would get on board.
Think about it, GT40 heads and intake, DIS ignition, and exhaust manifolds not cut out to flow a Pinto engine. No wonder only rated at 215HP.
I have a mountaineer V8 with factory exhaust and the ranger with the FRPP headers (otherwise stock). The Ranger leaved the Mountaineer in the dust when my wife and I race
I just wish someone would make perf. parts for the 5L explorer. Headers, twin screw supercharger (Kenne Bell/Whipple), etc. would be really nice!
