headlamp switch

So I just bought an 08 ST with manual headlamp switch and noticed it is not illuminated at night is that normal or......just the way it is???

Well the problem was there is a bulb in the back of the switch and it is burnt out so now I'm off to find a bulb for replacement!
 






If you find one that works, please post brand and lamp number.
 






Here is what mine looked like, not my picture, but very similar - going to say its a common Ford item. My bulb filament was bad AND the bulb holder was burnt at the edge just like this, as well as flaking apart:

I was at a local u-pull-it and found my replacement in a Ford car, either a Fusion or Five Hundred/Taurus X, somewhere around a 2006-2008 if I had to guess. The base on this replacement was also a little burned, but the bulb was good. Cost was $0.00 probably since it looked so bad and the cashier felt bad for me.


The image I posted here is from a Crown Vic website, so thats why I say "common Ford item".
 






Well I have yet to find an official Ford part number for it and I sell Ford parts! They don't list it under the Explorer at all! Still looking though
