Thanks. I actually figured it out. Not to bad. Just wondering what is the rule of thumb for adjusting the lights? Pull up to a wall, but how many feet away and how far up?
the haynes manual says to be 25 feet from the wall and aim the intensity zone for the beam 2 inches below the headlight's horizontal center line, and 2 inches inside of the vertical center line of the headlights
I've adjusted the beam vertically turning 4mm hex, but how to I adjust it horizontally? Don't see any adjustment rod or screw. Low beam level seems good, but high beam seems to be too far out to the sides and high, like in the trees.
My horizontal (side to side) adjustments was just below the headlight itself. Needed the grille shell off to do it right ('99 and '00 Explorers). Sounds like you're describing up and down to me.
