Headlight interchangeability 2007 Sport Trac

Does anyone know if a headlight assembly from a 2001-2005 Explorer Sport Trac will fit and bolt into a 2007 Explorer Sport Trac? I realize the lamps and sockets are different. I need to replace the assemblies and have a nice set of 9005 led’s that I would like to install. I have a 9005 to H13 wiring adapter so that’s not an issue.

Looks like the 07-2010 are physically different than the 2001-2005 headlights. It may be easier to just purchase new LEDs and the 07 h13 headlights. Even if I only needed a bumper cover from the later models to blend them to the 07, it would be hard to find around here. I’m still curious though if that round bump out is the only difference

Yea, it was a bad idea. The more I researched it, I realized it was a bad idea to pursue any further
