headlight mainbeam circuit wire for 97 Explorer

just adding some driving lights to my 97 Explorer need to splice into headlight main beam circuit wire anyone know the correct colour code for this wire & the best & easiest place to pass the wires from the relay through the bulkhead ......

There is a factory grommet above and behind the brake pedal.

Your headlight bulbs will have 3 wires going to them: hi, lo, and ground. The middle one will be the ground. Use a circuit tester to see which of the other 2 is hi, and which is lo with the harness unplugged from the bulb.

His headlamps take H-4 bulbs, which have a different wiring pattern - not the 9004 or 9007 [pattern we're used to in the U.S.

Oops, sorry. Didn't know the Euro took H4s.
