headlights cutting out

it's an intermittent problem. the headlights can be on for a couple hours or tonight it was close to 5 hours before they cut out. they haven't failed to turn back on yet which just makes it harder to find the problem.

this happened to me when I used the cheap HID wannabe bulbs. They run at a higher wattage, and melt our sockets. I had to buy new sockets from walmart and wire them in.

Check them, make sure they aren't melted or damaged in any way.

I was thinking that too, was just wondering if this was a common problem. I was told this happened once before on this truck but they didn't know how it was fixed, just knew it was fixed.
