Turns out, that's exactly what it was. Of course, with the sockets being jumped they were done also and word has it that the jumper really bbq'd the module, which, from what I'm told gets the message from the light swtich (or auto on) to tell the BCM to turn the headlights on. All this to take the current from the switch to the lights. Seems like running around the block to go next door, if you know what I mean.
