With the installation of a KKM for a 1992 explorer, the heat riser is worthless. Is it a problem, because there is a hose the runs from the heat riser to the exhaust manifold. Thanks, I'm not all that knowledgeable about cars and am fairly new to the site.

the kkm kit should come with a bolt to pulg the one vacum line. the other line that was on top of the old airbox that goes to that heatriser can be eliminated. some people remove that heat riser but leaving it does no harm.

I have been running the KKM for a little while now and I just put a bolt in each line with no problems. I did that so if I ever move to a place that does emissions testing I can easily install the old intake for the test.
