My heater doesn't work at all. I move all the levers and buttons and it won't blow at all. Like no air comes out of the vents at all. Is it an easy fix or should I just have a garage fix it?

Also , theres a fuse that I have not installed in the fuse panel becuase the dome light won't turn off. Its a "15" fuse and from the looks of it all it does is the dome lights, electric locks , and the radio. So I have to leave this fuse out in order for the dome lights to stay off. I think its because it thinks the rear gate is open , the rear gate is a little crooked. It closes fine but maybe the little button isn't working? Anyone know where the button is on the rear gate? Or if the dome lights go one when its open?

Also, when the fuse is in the heater still doesn't work so I think there seperate problems.

Does the fan blow at all, like in the vent or A/C positions? If not it is probably the blower motor relay. They are pretty cheap to replace. Check all the fuses as well.

The dome lights do go on when the rear gate is open, but not when just the glass is open. So the gate could be causing the lights to stay on like you mentioned. There is no "button" that controls the lights like on the other doors. I think it is part of the latch assembly.

Where is the blower motor relay?

Oh and it doesn't blow in any position. (man that sounds bad) lol

The relay is either in the power distribution box or under it (not sure which on the '94). The power distribution box is under the hood near the air box. The relays look like little cubes. Here is a link with relay locations, see post #15. Also it looks like fuse #12 under the dash is for the blower motor so be sure to check that as well.

I got the manual out of the car and it does show where the relay is, How much do relays cost?

and how do i tell if its broken or blown?

Relays are generally around $20. The easiest way to tell if it's broken is to switch it with another relay in the truck (just keep track of the one that you think is the problem). For instance I think the fuel pump relay is the same as the blower motor relay so you could try switching them, just make sure the numbers on them are the same. Then if the blower works but the fuel pump doesn't turn on then the relay needs to be replaced.

Very cool. I exchanged the fuel pump relay with the blower relay and sure enough the blower works. The blower relay that was in there was the only one that didn't say ford on it and it looked like it was changed before. So thats one thing figured out.

Next , the dome lights. I'm guessing the rear gate thinks its open becuase its a little crooked. Is the open and closed button for the gate worked into the lock mechanism?

I played around with it and there are two button like things on it but when there both pressed in theres no change. And I tried manually closeing the little locks or clamps and that didn't do it either.

could be one of the door buttons too. Check those before
You give up.

How do I check them? Since there realese button i would have to change all of them to find out which one it is.

unscrew each one and check it with a multi meter to see if it's working.

I can't remember if they are supposed to close a circuit when acuated or open one...

I would imagine it would be close the circuit. I try that

if memory serves the rear liftgate switch is actually inside the hatch and is actuated when the latch is opened IE when you turn the handle on the back

Ok , I have new developments about the fuse.

I took out the bulbs that go to my dome lights to temporarly fix the problem. But I noticed , whevevr I open the doors , the "antitheft" light comes on , and when I shut them it goes off. Does that mean that all the door buttons work?

I was now thinking maybe the dome light switch is to blame now being stuck.
