All the local shops say

1) They don't have it in stock
2) That it says cut to fit 5/8" hose.

Both of the ones from the engine to that valve thing are molded pieces. I got in touch w/ Torrie from Ford Parts Network and he has the one I need for a total of $25+ including shipping and tax. Still a bit much. Was wondering if any one here has had any experience w/ these hoses at an Auto Zone or something. I've been to Pep Boys and NAPA so far and got the above answers. Thanx,

You don't say what engine you have, and I have to assume that makes a difference. I actually just purchased the hoses I needed for my '99 with a 5.0. You can get the Motorcraft hoses for one line only. Strange. (Well, Motorcraft also has the bypass hose) It's the line that utilizes the control valve. Those hoses...including the short piece between the valve and the heater core are all direct fit Motorcraft numbers. However, the other line is not offered from Motorcraft. So I had to go to Gates for those two molded hoses. Those are an 18962 (you need to trim that one) and a 19183. That should fix you right up. Since you're buying Gates for that line, you might as well get the other one from them too. That number is 18933. They do utilize a short piece of 5/8 between the core and valve. Or if you want Motorcraft for that line, just order the Motorcraft #'s KH262 and KH202. That should give you plenty of options! Confused??

All info is in my signature. I put it there for just this reason.

Any way, AutoZone had the upper water pump to valve hose. The lower one is fine for now, but that's the "most molded" one of the 4 and I'll have to find that one some day, eh?

Thanx again,
