My Exploder has me stumped once again, here we go.... First off, the heater core was replaced about 3 years ago and it's not leaking or anything so i'm thinking thats ok. I don't have any heat coming through to the pass. compartment at all, it's a tad bit warm but nowhere near it should be. All the cables in the controller are hooked up and opening the duct door as it's supposed to. The strange thing I noticed is the lower radiator hose seems to be almost empty as is the heater water hose closest to the fender. Does it sound like the thermostat is stuck open? Or, could th ewater pump be getting ready to check-out? Any help would be greatly appreciated. These cold mornings are getting a little anoying! Thanks alot!!!

Sounds like the heater core may be plugged. Disconnect the heater hoses, make sure they aren't plugged, and flush the heater core. If it's been a while, maybe do the whole cooling system.

If you don't find anything wrong with the core:

Notice any difference in the temp gauge reading, like is it running cooler than norm? If that thermostat is wide open the engine temp would prob never reach oper temp. .

I don't think those older ones had the blend door problems?

prewarning, the thermostat is a pain in the butt toreplace. I just replaced mine with one that opens at 180 degrees instead of the stock 195

MrShorty Had the cure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks a lot guys, MrShorty was right. I put a high pressure nozzle on my garden hose and blasted the core out. All is well now, until the next problem happens.

THANKS AGAIN!!!!!

That's a good one, I'll make a note of it too.

3 yrs on a heater core and blocked? You might not be flushing the system often enough. I have never had that happen, but have always flushed every two yrs
