I just changed my thermostate in my 95 exploder and now my heater is actin funny.

it only puts out hot air when i am on the throttle seems like it is only using heat from the motor....

any ideas?

Is your temp gauge fluctuating at all??? Check your vacuum connection on the Heat Bypass Valve. It may be a vacuum issue.

yeah my heat guage if fluctuaging.

heat bypass valve????? where is that?

If the heater was fine before the coolant change then check for air in the system. Make sure to have the heat on full and run the engine for a couple minutes at 1500-2000 rpm or untill the t-stat opens.

It should circulate the coolant and help get the air out.

The heater bypass valve is just under the hood, passengers side, near the heater core. Look for a plastic valve with the heater hose attached.
