have any pics of your TJM?? where did you get it from?

I had Kennesaw on my 94 Limited but now I'm looking for a set for my 98 Sport

thanks....

that would be a bummer! I'll just keep looking and calling all the companies till they give up and make one again for the Explorer crowd.....

they make a whole line now for Liberty but nothing for the X....... to make them do it is like pulling teath....

is there so many people taking their new Libertys off road? more than Explorers?

why is it than that Jeep gets most of the attention?

I guess I'm just asking a whole bunch of rhetoric questions....

I'm going to stop by a fab shop tomorrow to see if they can fab one for me....

I was going to make my own bumper. I got a welder and the know how to make one ( I think). I got a body lift and a hitch. There is a lot of room between the bumber and the hitch, in turn all you can see is my spare tire. So I am thinking about making the bumber like 8" front top to bottom made of 1/4 wall square tubing. Then weld brackets to it for the mounting to the frame. Prolly put some kind of tow d-rings on it perm. or something.

Looking like that from the side. Not a really good pic. This way you can see what I mean. If you want I could prolly give you the plans when I am done. Or make you one. I am thinking about making one for the front too. But now sure what kind I want. I got tow hooks on the frame so I don't think I need a really heavy duty one. I could use some ideas. :)

I've been there when I was looking for a rear bumper/spare carrier....... but later decided to buy one from Kennesaw...... good stuff..... but now I need a front one basically that would be one tough SOB and would take a winch. Rear yeah, possibility but should look something close to the Road Armor one that they have on the Excursion.....

I'm even willing to be their test mule....... as long as they make it. Like I said, I'll stop by a fab shop tomorrow and will call RA later on too.
Plans? I've had plans - measured everything, bought some material and later decided to go the easy route....purchase.

That cool. I figured I would give ya my two cents. :) Hope you find something that works for you.

Well,
To all you guys thinking of building a bumper I did it was not easy but not hard either. Me and a buddy finished it in a weekend the next weekend we built a front bumper to recieve a which upgrade down the road. If anyone is interested in pics i can e-mail some. I intigrated a spare tire carrier into the rear bumper looks great i get a lot of compliments on it and am often asked "hey How makes that bumper?"

All in all I think anyone with the ambition to try it can do it, good luck

love to see some pics!

Here is the best bumper i have seen so far on an xplor. This is robbiej from this board. He made it himself. I took this pic last year. It swings out in 2 pieces, 1 on each side. He has a 35" tire mounted, a hi lift, and gas/water can holders. Also has a 2" receiver hitch in it.
