Starting installing 4 hella 500s a little late in the day and ran into a problem... Got everything "hooked up" ( i say that bc i was just trying to get light so i could call it quits and go inside lol).
Heres whats going on:

The relay has a Blue(ground), a Black(POS for lights), a Yellow(for switch), and Red(POS to batt)... I also have a seperate Green wire (from batt+ to switch) and another ground on the switch.
Well i hooked everything up, flipped the switch to ON and NO light!!!!!!!

The 2 (2A) fuses for the Green Wire were blown, I have tried everything with a test light, the only wire that doesnt make it glow is the Yellow.
Could that be a problem???

When I wired up the lights, I hooked black to black, and blue(ground) in between the mounting tab and light bracket..... JUST TO TEST..... maybe this is the problem??????

Let me know what yall think, Im kinda stumped for now and cant work on it till morning.
Thanks!!!

Sounds right.

Hella's wiring should be
On relay:
Blue--- ground
red--- + from bat
yellow--- + from switch
black--- to lights

Wire color on the lights doesnt matter, one is + the other is ground.

Hook it up like that (except the yellow). Touch the yellow to the battery, the lights should come on.

I'd re-check the switch, did you put the 3 wires on the right terminals?

thats what i forgot to ask! Whats the correct way to connect the switch?? The instructions dont me **** about it so i figured any way would do...

Im not sure. I'd have to see it.

:banghead: I went out and tried wiring the switches a thousand different ways, nothing worked...
When i put the test light to the black(Lights +) i get nothing, same for Yellow ( switch +) what is going on????????
But Red (relay+) is good, and so is Blue(relay -)

Hold the yellow to the battery +. That will turn the relay on, then you should have + at the black. If not, The Hella relay usually has a fuse right on it, check that fuse.

Thanks for the help! Gotta hooked up now that i was working in the day light! lol
