Hey guys. I'm a new owner of a 2000 Explorer Sport. It was given to me by my cousin after my fiance and I ran into some tough times with money. Overall it's in pretty good shape. It definitely needs a bath and a little TLC but I think it can be a great truck. As far as I know, the only thing it really needs is one (possibly both) catalytic converter(s) and new O2 sensors. I may need to do tires, too. I'm sure I'll find other things as I go along, but I'm excited to get started on the project. If you guys have any questions, or if any of you are from NY, let me know!

Welcome to Explorer Forum! That is a nice gift. Tires and O2 sensors aren't that bad, but those cats are probably conna cost a little more. I would try and get universals to fit.

I found Magnaflow cats at Advance Auto for like $70 a piece. Not sure if I need to replace both or not yet, but it's definitely not as bad as I thought.
