Hey everyone my name is Jessie and I live in Florida. Found your site looking for information on explorers. I've tinkered with uni-body jeeps for a while now, but I think its time to step up to something with a rigid frame and V8 power. Anyway I hope to find lots of useful information on this site to help me with my next 4X4.

I did a quick look through the other forums and now my head is spinning. I'm used to jeeps with two engine options, three tranny options and four axle options. I now realize I dont even know where to start asking the right questions. If someone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks all.

Not sure what year or body style most of the body will end up gone anyway. I originally wanted a 5.0, manual tranny, manual t-case, 8.8 rearend with disks, thinking about a ttb front but will probably just end up with a solid axle. Now it looks like I cant get a manual behind a V8 without swapping one out of a truck. Am now considering an auto so an atlas 4.3/1 can go behind it

Was the 5.0 ever backed by a C4 or 4R70W(i think)?
