I just traded my 94 S-10 Blazer in for a 2000 Explorer Sport one week ago.. I must say.. It was instant love. The best move I had ever made. I was searching the web looking for things that I could do with my Sport and stumbled across this site... I was completely blown away by the wealth of knowledge and extremely impressed by the photos of other member's Explorers on this site. This was exactly what I was looking for. I'll be posting pics of my new baby soon. I plan on lifting it 4 - 5 inches with 30's soon.

30's will be TOO SMALL :p I have 31's on a stocker.

Welcome to the site, hope you have lots of money. If you hang around here, you're going to spend it all.

Welcome to the site! If you're gonna go up 4-5", you're gonna want something a little larger than 30". With that lift you should be able to easily fit 32's under it with no problems.

Hi, Yes you are right on with the 32's .. Question #1: Do you think by goin up 4" inches and slappin on 32's I could still use my stock wheels ?. I hope so ... I like the way they look... Question #2: Any opinions on the Trail Master 4" suspension lift for 2000 Explorers ?. It's kinda pricey but I want nothin but the best because this will be my every day vehicle as well.

thanks :chug:

You can still use your stock rims if you get the right width tires. Anything 11.5" wide or under should work fine on stock rims, and there are a few people here that run 12.5" wide tires on stock rims.

As for the lift, I don't know anything about that particular lift. I've put in the Superlift system on a '96 Explorer, and it's pretty well built. It also depends upon why you want to lift it. If you're going to seriously off road it, I'd suggest the TT/Shackles and a body lift over a store bought lift because of the way the lifts are designed. The store bought lifts re-locate the suspension components, but have a cross bar that sits at the stock position for strength. This limits the ground clearance down the center of the truck. The advantage to the TT/Shackles is that it gives you better clearance down the center of the truck, the downside is that when done to extreme, the TT is hard on CV joints. If you're doing it mostly for the look, and some mild to moderate wheeling, then go with one of the kits.

Of course it was, you traded a chevy in for a Ford. A day doesn't get much better than that.

J/K :smoke:

Welcome to your new addiction :bounce:

Stay away from the Trailmaster lift, the Superlift is far superior. The trailmaster uses a steering slide that not a lot of people like. The trailmaster also uses an extension for the knuckles or something like that instead of having a new longer one like the superlift has.

Im also running a 33/12.50 tire on my stock 7" rims without any problems.

Where in NJ are you from?

LOL.....you're not too far away from me! I've got some friends that live out that way.

Welcome to the College of Explorer Knowledge. Good Luck with your truck!
