Hello all, my name is Aidan and I am looking to do some nasty work to my Explorer! 
I have owned my 1999 Ford Explorer Sport for about a year and a half now, and have had plans to somehow convert it into an offroad beast since the day i owned it. Unfortunately, for the last year and a half i've been told by MANY that this is a ludacris idea, and it will never work. Even if it did work, i wouldn't perform as well as a jeep, and would infact be much more expensive then a jeep. :/ Although it makes sense, it would be great to prove em all wrong once and for all. Although the offroad idea is still on my mind, without any real encouragement for that project due to the supposed "extreme difficulty", i've moved onto plans for a prerunner.
Anybody here from Michigan?
And what are the best sections to attack for my project? Did a little browsing so far and didn't really see anything "Prerunner" specific.
