Hello all! New guy from Oklahoma City hoping to learn a little more about maintaining / repairing my Brother's 1997 Explorer (Eddie Bauer, 2wd, V8, automatic). It's a nice truck but it's beginning to show it's age and mileage. I look forward to learning more from you as I begin my searching around!

I'm hoping to learn more from all of you. My time will be spent perusing your transmission area as my Brother mentioned that he's having problems. Right now I'm just trying to identify the transmission (I now think without seeing the transmission code that it's the 4R70W behind his 5.0l) and will get the code & determine symptoms when next I can visit him.
