hey all, i live just north of london in the uk and am looking at being re assigned to the U.S. soon. Currently im doing research for a project that i am considering when i get back to the U.S.

Hello... So you're a Brit or you just live there? And you're buying a stick shift/manual? What area are you coming back to?

no im not british, but i have lived here for almost 3 years now, we dont know exactly where we are going to be when we get back to the states, we are hoping for anchorage alaska (crosses fingers). i am looking for a 2001 manual with 4x4. i haven't found one for sale yet so i am also looking into the feasability of swapping the pedal assembly from a manual into a automatic.

basically i since i cant bring my 2.5l ford ranger double cab back to the states, im going to make one. i figure i can do the build for around 9-10k including vehicle. i just dont want to give up my 35 mpg truck.
