Just wanted to say Hi I have been lurking the forums for a couple months I guess. There is some great info here. My 96 Explorer had been making a whining sound like it was sucking air somewhere, so my dad takes it to a mechanic and he has no idea where that whining was coming from so he places jbweld or something all over where the egr pipe goes back into the motor and says he fixed it, and charged $280. LOL and yes it was still whining. So I started browsing around on here and found the IAC problem and sure enough that was it. So thanks for that info, wished I would have searched before taking to a mechanic. But like I said just wanted to say Hi.
