Hello y'all can y'all me n1ght. XD rn I'm a bit shy about online I drive a 99 Ford explorer xls which I am planning to mod and keep track of the progress I made. I join this forum couple months ago but never posted. And the other reason is because I use this forum for the many research I do on my truck and what next mod I can do etc. That it for now I guess XD. I'm not good at introduction right now here is before and after pic of my X and ofc the best pic I currently have rn

What kind of mods are you thinking

Basically some bolts on but yet enough power to keep up with most modern car/truck I would like to 5.0 swap it but idk what I am fully getting into. I also would like to have new car feature like back up camera gps and etc currently I am running with 4.0 OHV with the 4speed trans idk if I should build what I have. CAI Header ported head comp 422 can TB and spacer and Tune mostly

First find a kit with all the parts you need
Second it's lots ok work

You will need to find a kit or adapter plate at least so you can find make the rest
I say do your research and you will find what your looking for
I was just doing some googling and found some turbo kits and centrifugal supercharger kits to

You realize it's going to cost 2-5k to do everything waay more than the truck is worth
That said I supercharged my wife's explorer and it's fun as hell Supercharger install ...I do have a different engine than you ....the vid in the post above is your engine.....

Not to many mods that actually make more power on these trucks

Okay thanks yea I did couple research and the only place that seem to still make part for the 4.0 ohc is tom morana racing which they have a m112 supercharger kit for the x since I live in an apartment one of my idea was to build an engine mainly the 4.0ohv because the cost as I wouldn't need to buy mount, transmission, ecu, hosing and etc. I wouldn't think I wouldn't want to sell the x as when I have kids I don't have to sell the car unless I somehow get the new explorer st
