Hi ya'll, I just found this awesome site. I've been looking for a group of explorer lovers.

I bought my '91 Sport 4x4 a few months ago, it just passed the 60,000 miles point so I'll have to do some stuff to get all the standard ford noises out. After I get it running like I want it, I 'm going to mod the crap out of it, then offroad till the day I die... Or at least till I break something expensive or it needs a new engine or tranny or something. But hey! Explorers rule!

you truck sounds like it has a really low amout of miles for its age. make sure to get some pics up here, we all like looking at pics of other peoples trucks.

But yeah, I think I got a good deal on my explorer. It's over a decade old, with no problems (except the damn fuel float I had to replace last week), I bought it for 3500$ when it had 57,000 miles on it last October. I'll post some pics when the sun comes up. Adios, thanks for the welcome.

It seriously only had 66,000 miles on it? The older odometers only go up to 99,999.9 My '93 had "45,000" miles on it (145,000). At 100,000 miles it resets to 0. Or do you know for a fact it's only 66,000?

Yeah, I'm sure it only has 60k on it. It was as they say only driven to church by a little old lady every Sunday. Actually, I believe that it's been in dealership hand for a long part of it's life. It's in very good condition for it's age little or no wear and tear, engine runs good.

And yeah, I make it a point to hang out in irc channels of sites I like. >.> (baah im a loser)

Wow a 91 2dr with 60K on it.....get some pcs posted as soon as possible.. My 91 2dr has like 135K on it and doesn't look so new anymore.

Pictures of my Explorer

My explorer is a one owner, the previous owner was a little old lady. The paints a little faded but the engine, which is obviously original, is still mostly like new- barely broken in the grand scheme of things. My dad owns two auto repair shops. Before I brought it we put it on the dyno on inspected it. It's passed with flying colors, then took to the heavy work shop and went over everything. Very little wear and tears... It was a good buy.
