Sorrym couldn't resist the programming joke!

Anyway, I found this site while looking for repair info on my 98 Explorer. I bought it for my teenage son's first ride. It's got a few problems, but I'll ask about those in the other forums.

I'm a big Ford fan. Always liked them. In spite of that, I drive around a 2012 Ram 1500 which I'm really happy with, but wish I had a Raptor!

I'm working on some restoration projects. Typical middle age issue I guess. I've collected a couple along the way. I've got a pair of '65 F-100s, a '68 F-100, a '66 Pontiac Bonneville Limo (ok not ford, but it's a limo!), and a wonderful old '59 Edsel Corsair. The Edsel is my primary focus at the moment.

Working vehicles, I have a 73 Mustang convetible, my sons 98 Explorer XLT, and my wife's brand new 2017 Explorer Sport.

I came to these forums primarily in search of help making some of the repairs to the 98 Explorer without having to shell out and arm and a leg to the dealership.

Thanks, and see you all around!

Chris

Welcome to this forum! Could you post some pictures of your car collection?

OK, first up is one of the '65 trucks. I don't really have any photos of the other one, but it's pretty much the same thing but with a wooden flatbed instead of a bed.

Next is the '68 truck. This are pictures of it as I was picking it up from the farmer I bought it from. Haven't done a lot of work to it since then except get the engine running. Big old 360T engine under the hood. I got a kick out of the extra Ford logo on the hood!

The 66 Limo. Fun fact, I'm the second owner. First owner was a doctor who bought this thing new as his daily driver because he had so many kids!

Now here's the big one I want to get running. Friend of mine and I are working on the 332 now to get it running. '59 Edesl Corsair. Ford's official color code is Talisman Red/Snow White two tone. It is, of course, pink. But a fun color anyway I think. It was only on the road for 9 years until someone shoved it in a barn where it was finally found in 2010. After that it was passed around to a handful of people who did nothing with it until I finally bought it.

Actually if you look closely next to the Edsel, you can see the front end of my second 65 F100.

No pictures of the '73 at the moment. I can't find any at the moment, and it's in my garage under a car cover for the winter. Haven't had a reason to take pics of the Explorer, but I don't really consider it part of my 'collection' since its just my son's driver.

Nice collection. Welcome to the forum:chug:
