New to this list as of today. I was looking for something about my explorer and this forum came up.

I have a '95 XLT 4x4 w/ 250K miles. Rebuilt the tranny, transfer dcase, and rear dif since 188K.

I've been getting 18-20 MPG recently since I started a new job, but the cost of gas is killing me. Just like everyone else.

Yeah, I have been reading alot of his threads to see what he was up to for those 30 plus. I have to admit that with the new job, and longer drive I have eased off the pedal somewhat, and using cruise more. Cruise at ~70mpg I have been getting the 19.X mpg all around. Previously I was getting 15-17.

I have no upgrades, just easing off the gas.

Welcome to Explorer Forum! I keep telling my wife to ease off, and she will get a little better but she likes to tell me I drive like an old man.
