- 1996 Ford Explorer XLT
Greetings!
After years of driving a 2000 Volvo V70 XC AWD, I've made my way to a 1996 Explorer XLT. It needs a little TLC but so far, I'm enjoying it. I'm especially looking forward to being able to work on it myself. The Volvo served me well, but it wasn't exactly user friendly for servicing. I manage an auto parts store, so not having parts for my car was always frustrating. Not to mention, for what I paid to get shocks and a driveshaft replaced on the V70, I could've bought the Explorer twice and had around $500 left over to offset the higher gas cost.
