‘13 Explorer XLT
Hello, hope everyone is doing well. I'm finally being forced to join an Explorer forum.

We've had our '13 xlt for several years with almost no troubles, until now. My wife took our kids and her parents camping(Ex is the tow vehicle) and I noticed something leaking under it just as I was getting in to take our camper to the storage lot. Lo and behold, a few minutes later I discover a coolant leak. I've read enough to know that a leaking water pump can be a death sentence on this engine if one is not (almost)overly cautious. So now I have to scramble to gather all of the parts, a few special tools, & a youtube video or two to get this finished

Yes, I will be doing this myself. I'm a mechanic but my car experience has been on German stuff(13 years) and now I work on the local transit system trains where I live. I've done enough in my driveway to know what I can and can't get away with and this shouldn't be an impossible task **looks nervously for some wood to knock on**

Once I get this headache finished hopefully I can help others out some

Thanks. Yes, our camper is awesome. Our kids instantly loved it. I’ve got a picture of its maiden voyage
